My Aerospace student Lauren Forcey, under my supervision, performed an Esri StoryMap GIS project on one of the most urgent but least visible challenges of the modern space age: orbital debris. CongoResearchNetwork invites young and seasoned scholars to participate in a workshop aimed at building formal and informal bridges between researchers in the human and social sciences working on the DRC. The workshop will offer an opportunity to doctoral and postdoctoral researchers from any of the human and social sciences (linguistics, archeology, history, theology, psychology, anthropology, political relations, communication studies, history of art, literature, etc.) to present their material and to get feedback from more experienced Congo-scholars. We are inviting abstracts (max. 250 words) before 15 November 2013.
